UPDATE: Boulder County is set to dazzle residents and visitors alike with a vibrant array of holiday events this December, offering something for everyone. From heartwarming performances to festive concerts, the community is gearing up for an unforgettable holiday season.
The highlight of this year’s festivities is the “Extremely Wonderful New York Holiday Radio Show”, presented by the Rocky Mountain Revels at the Dairy Arts Center on December 21-22, 2025. This show promises an engaging blend of music, dance, and storytelling, with performances at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.. Tickets range from $28.75 to $57.50 and are available at thedairy.org.
In a unique twist, this year’s production features a nostalgic 1950s New York radio broadcast theme, where local performers step in when the headliners fail to show. The concept, crafted by board member and cast member Paul Kapustka, draws on his rich heritage and love for the vibrant energy of post-war New York. His vision has come to life through a collaborative effort of around 30 performers, showcasing the community spirit that defines the Revels tradition.
Boulder County is bustling with additional holiday events that cater to all ages and interests. Families can visit Santa in downtown Boulder at the St. Nick on the Bricks event, running from 11 a.m. on November 28 through December 13. This free event invites children to bring their Christmas lists and capture festive memories.
For a taste of culture, the Holiday Magic Concert at Niwot Hall on December 6, featuring the Rebecca Folsom Trio, is sure to enchant attendees. Guests will enjoy a festive atmosphere complete with a warm welcome drink and a Santa hat. Tickets are priced at $45.
Longmont is also joining the holiday spirit with a variety of performances. Jesters Dinner Theatre will present “Scrooge” from December 5-28, offering a fresh take on the classic tale. Tickets range from $19 to $55.
The Longmont Symphony Orchestra will host their annual Candlelight – Handel’s Messiah on December 13 at 4 p.m., a cherished tradition that celebrates the season with stunning musical performances. Tickets are available for $15-$48.
Other key events include the CU Holiday Festival, taking place from December 5-7 at the Macky Auditorium, showcasing a remarkable lineup of student choirs and orchestras for $25-$80.
