This snowstorm has already contributed to a messy morning commute on Tuesday, particularly in downtown Buffalo. As the snow begins to taper off, forecasters are warning of more lake-effect snow showers expected Wednesday night into Thursday, with temperatures plunging to the mid-20s. Wind gusts could reach up to 30 mph, creating challenging conditions for drivers.
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Public Schools (BPS) community is on high alert as school closures loom.
