Local High School Students Honored for Academic Excellence
On November 18, 2023, four exceptional students from local high schools were recognized for their academic achievements at the Chico Noon Exchange Club meeting held at Canyon Oaks. Students from both Pleasant Valley High School and Chico High School received accolades for their hard work and dedication.
The honored students from Pleasant Valley High School were Ali Riser and Hyunhu Na. They were accompanied by their Counselor, Victor Valdez, who expressed pride in their accomplishments. From Chico High School, Addison Hosier and Jenny Gonzalez-Ruiz were also celebrated. Their Academic Counselor, Molly Kodad, and Targeted Case Manager, Nancy Rodriguez-Medina, were present to support them during the recognition ceremony.
During the event, each student shared insights into their current activities and future aspirations. Their impressive presentations highlighted not only their academic achievements but also their commitment to personal growth and community involvement.
The Chico Noon Exchange Club holds its meetings every Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. at Canyon Oaks. Prospective members interested in joining are encouraged to attend. For further information about the club and its activities, visit their official website at www.chicoexchangeclub.org.
In addition to recognizing outstanding students, the Chico Noon Exchange Club plays a vital role in promoting community service and engagement. The club regularly hosts events to support local initiatives and foster connections among residents.
For those looking to contribute to community snapshots, the club welcomes reader-submitted photos of community events. These can include service projects, guest speakers, or school activities, as long as they feature people and are current.
Submissions should include a high-resolution JPG along with a brief description of the content, detailing who is in the photo (listed left to right), what is occurring, where and when it took place, and why it is significant. Photos can be submitted to [email protected]. Currently, only digital submissions are accepted.
This recognition event not only celebrates individual achievement but also reinforces the importance of academic excellence within the community. Through initiatives like these, local organizations continue to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
