Golden Globe 2026 Nominations Announced: Leading Films and Shows Revealed
The nominations for the 83rd Golden Globe Awards have been unveiled, with the action-drama film “One Battle After Another” leading the nominations with an impressive total of nine nods. Following closely in the film category is the Norwegian drama “Sentimental Value”, which garnered eight nominations. The horror film “Sinners” received seven nominations, while “Hamnet” secured six.
Notably, the sequel “Wicked: For Good” and Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein” are tied with five nominations each. For “Wicked,” this marks an increase, as it has received one more nomination than its predecessor did last year.
In the television category, “The White Lotus” takes the lead with six nominations, closely followed by Netflix’s British psychological drama “Adolescence” with five. Both “Only Murders in the Building” and “Severance” are tied with four nominations.
For the first time, the Golden Globes will feature a category for best podcast, introduced in May 2023. Six top podcasts have been nominated, including “Good Hang With Amy Poehler” and “SmartLess”.
Event Details and Host Announcement
The 2026 Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast live on January 11, 2026, at 18:00 MST on CBS and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. Comedian Nikki Glaser will return as the host for the second consecutive year, having made history last year as the first woman to solo-host the Golden Globes.
