Community Remembers S. Chris “Sonny” Nicosia, 86, of Lake Elmo

S. Chris “Sonny” Nicosia, aged 86, passed away on November 27, 2025, in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. He is remembered for his contributions to the community and his dedication to family, leaving behind a legacy that spans generations.

Born into a loving family, Chris is preceded in death by his children, Bobby, Dawn, and Kristi, as well as his sister, Tanny Armstrong. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Roxanne Nicosia, and his daughter, Lynne Nicosia. The family includes numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who fondly remember him as a guiding force in their lives. His grandchildren include Bob Pasiuk (Laura), Andrea Perzichilli (Marco), Chris Pasiuk (Alison), Sonnie Mason, Nick Montanari (Meredith), Nate Montanari (Corionna), and Thomas Nicosia.

Chris Nicosia had a diverse career, owning and operating several businesses over the years. He served as a St. Paul City Councilman during the 1980s and played a significant role on the St. Paul Port Authority. His leadership and community service left a lasting impact on those he worked with.

Throughout his life, Chris enjoyed various activities. He loved spending time at his cabin, traveling, golfing, and watching NASCAR. His family and friends were central to his happiness, and he cherished the moments spent with them.

The family extends their gratitude to Lakeview Hospice and Care Apparent for the compassionate care provided to Chris during his final days. They also appreciate the many individuals who visited him, offering love and support throughout his life.

A service to honor Chris Nicosia will be held on December 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, located at 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, Minnesota. A visitation will precede the service, starting one hour before. For more information, those interested may contact the White Bear location at 651-407-8300.

Chris Nicosia’s life was a testament to the value of community, family, and service. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
