Urgent Update: Chris Langlee, 64, Passes Away Surrounded by Family

BREAKING: Chris Langlee, a beloved member of the Duluth community, has passed away at the age of 64 on October 20, 2025, surrounded by family. His loss is felt deeply as friends and family remember him for his vibrant spirit and love for life.
Born on August 23, 1961, to Wayne and Eileen Langlee, Chris was a dedicated family man and a passionate sports enthusiast. He served 20 years in the Air National Guard, retiring as a Master Sergeant on January 31, 2005. His commitment to service was matched only by his love for his family and community.
Chris was well-known for his athletic prowess, playing varsity baseball for the Denfeld Hunters and participating in various softball leagues, including notable teams like the Rustic Rockers and Mr. D’s Pinch Hitters. His love for sports extended to being an ardent fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Wild.
In addition to his military service and sports achievements, Chris had a successful career, most recently serving as the Credit and Collections Administrator for the City of Duluth. His professional journey also included roles at Enger Park Golf Course and Financial Recovery Services.
Chris’s family life was enriched when he married Patrice Johnson on June 21, 2019. Together, they created a loving home for their blended family, filled with laughter and cherished memories. His humor and vibrant personality shone brightly, especially during family gatherings where he loved to cook and entertain, often accompanied by a soundtrack of rock and roll.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, located at 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth, MN. A celebration of Chris’s life will follow at 2:00 PM, with a reception to honor his legacy.
The family expresses deep gratitude to Essentia’s critical care team for their compassionate support during this challenging time. Chris Langlee’s impact on his family, friends, and community will be remembered fondly, as he leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and joy.
