Qualcomm Stock Soars 20% on Launch of Revolutionary AI Products
UPDATE: Qualcomm’s stock skyrocketed by over 20% on Monday, reaching a brief high of $205.95 per share, following the launch of groundbreaking artificial intelligence products designed for large data centers. The surge reflects investor confidence in Qualcomm’s innovative AI200 and AI250 chip-based accelerator cards, which promise enhanced memory capacity for rapid generative AI inference.
The San Diego-based technology giant announced that its new products will enable clients to deploy generative AI solutions in a cost-effective manner while ensuring flexibility and security. As of now, the stock has settled around $190, still over 10% higher than the opening price on NASDAQ.
In a significant partnership, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon revealed an agreement with HUMAIN, a Saudi Arabian AI company. This collaboration aims to establish 200 megawatts of data center capacity utilizing Qualcomm’s AI200 and AI250 rack solutions, which will deliver high-performance AI inference services both within Saudi Arabia and on a global scale.
“With Qualcomm’s world-class AI infrastructure solutions, we’re shaping the foundation of the kingdom’s AI future,” stated HUMAIN CEO Tarek Amin. He emphasized that this partnership combines HUMAIN’s regional expertise and comprehensive AI stack capabilities with Qualcomm’s industry-leading semiconductor technology.
Amon highlighted that the AI data centers powered by Qualcomm chips will help Saudi Arabia develop a robust technology ecosystem, accelerating the nation’s ambitions to become a hub for intelligent computing. “This collaboration is pivotal,” he said, pointing to its potential to bolster AI growth in the region.
The AI200 and AI250 chips are slated for commercial availability in 2026 and 2027, respectively, marking a major step forward in the deployment of advanced AI technologies.
As this story develops, it underscores the urgent shift in the tech landscape, where AI capabilities are becoming increasingly integral to business operations and strategic growth. Investors and tech enthusiasts alike are keenly watching how Qualcomm’s innovations will shape the future of data centers and AI applications worldwide.
