Hialeah Driver Charged with Vehicular Homicide After Fatal Crash

BREAKING: A 21-year-old Hialeah man, Kevin Brito Rios, has been charged with vehicular homicide following a deadly head-on collision that occurred just before 9 p.m. Monday near W. 20th Avenue and W. 76th Street. According to reports from NBC6 South Florida News, local police observed Brito Rios speeding at 80 mph in a 30 mph zone shortly before the crash. An officer attempted to pursue him as he recklessly wove through traffic and entered oncoming lanes. The pursuit ended tragically when Brito Rios lost control of his 2022 Toyota Supra, colliding head-on with a Ford Mustang.

Witnesses reported the chaotic scene, and both the driver and passenger of the Mustang were rushed to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. Sadly, the driver succumbed to their injuries the following day.
