The 2025 NFL trade deadline is set for November 4 at 16:00 ET, creating a buzz as teams finalize their rosters. Recent trades have already reshaped several teams, with notable moves including cornerbacks, quarterbacks, and wide receivers. As the deadline approaches, teams are actively seeking to enhance their lineups or acquire future draft picks, with a range of players potentially on the move.

The Philadelphia Eagles have made headlines with two significant trades. They acquired cornerback Jaire Alexander from the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a sixth-round pick in 2026, along with a seventh-round pick in 2027. Alexander, who joined the Ravens earlier this season, has seen limited action, participating in only two games. The Eagles are bolstering their defensive backfield, as they also traded for Michael Carter II from the New York Jets. This deal involved the Eagles sending wide receiver John Metchie III and a sixth-round pick to New York.

In other trades, the Pittsburgh Steelers received safety Kyle Dugger from the New England Patriots. Dugger will join the Steelers in exchange for a sixth-round pick, marking the Patriots’ second trade of that day. The San Francisco 49ers have also strengthened their defense by acquiring edge rusher Keion White from the Patriots in a late-round pick swap.

The Los Angeles Rams acquired cornerback Roger McCreary from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick in 2026. McCreary is in the final year of his rookie contract and has played primarily in the slot, adding depth to the Rams’ secondary.

As teams prepare for potential trades, some star players are reportedly off-limits. The Tennessee Titans are open to discussions but have made it clear that key players such as rookie quarterback Cam Ward and three-time Pro Bowler Jeffery Simmons are not available. Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints have indicated that while they are not actively shopping their wide receivers, they would entertain offers for Rashid Shaheed and Chris Olave.

The trade deadline is a critical time for NFL teams, as they assess their rosters and consider moves to improve their chances. Over the past six years, an average of 15 trades has occurred in October leading up to the deadline. This year, general managers are actively exploring trades, suggesting that more moves are imminent.

In the lead-up to the deadline, teams are evaluating their needs and considering potential trades to maximize their chances for success. The recent activity demonstrates that the NFL landscape can shift rapidly, with clubs keen to capitalize on opportunities to enhance their rosters. As the clock ticks down, fans and analysts alike are closely monitoring developments, anticipating further trades that could reshape the league.
