Federal Agents Spotted in Halloween Masks at DHS Site in LA
BREAKING: Federal agents were caught wearing Halloween masks while leaving a Department of Homeland Security staging area in the Port of Los Angeles on October 24, 2025. This bizarre incident has sparked outrage among community members documenting federal immigration enforcement activities.
Witnesses, part of the Harbor Area Peace Patrol, reported seeing masked agents near Terminal Island, a restricted area often used for staging by DHS and ICE. The volunteers captured footage showing agents wearing a Chucky mask and a Momo mask as they exited the facility. One community member, identified only as Phoebe, stated, “They slowed down, rolled down the window, and stared directly into my camera wearing a Chucky mask.”
The unsettling display raises serious questions about the professionalism of federal agents in the area. Phoebe expressed her concerns, stating, “This felt different. They went out of their way to make sure we saw them.”
The masked agents were seen leaving the facility around 7:23 a.m., with another agent appearing in a separate mask just ten minutes later. Phoebe noted that the same white van has been linked to multiple immigration raids across Los Angeles, including an operation in Van Nuys on the same day.
Despite the alarming nature of the incident, the Department of Homeland Security has yet to comment. Authorities have been contacted for clarification, and no response has been received. The situation remains fluid, with community members calling for accountability.
The local news outlet L.A. TACO first reported the story, highlighting a statement from Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Public Affairs, who responded with a seemingly dismissive “Happy Halloween!” following inquiries about the incident.
The implications of agents wearing masks during operations are significant, as they could undermine public trust in enforcement activities. Community members like Phoebe are increasingly concerned about the psychological impact of such actions on local residents, who feel targeted and terrorized.
As this story develops, many are watching closely for responses from federal authorities. The actions of these agents not only highlight a troubling trend but also raise urgent questions about the conduct of federal law enforcement in local communities.
