Eleanor Ann Patton, a beloved figure known for her vibrant spirit, passed away just six months shy of her 90th birthday. Born in Glouster, Massachusetts, she moved to Columbus, Georgia, with her large family of nine brothers and sisters. In the late 1950s, she relocated to California, eventually settling in Redondo Beach, where she embarked on a fulfilling career and personal life.

Eleanor began her professional journey at Northrop Aircraft as an Executive Assistant. It was at a Northrop party in Malibu that she met her future husband, Donald Patton. The couple married in 1962 and started a family, welcoming their son, Chris, in 1963. After his birth, Eleanor made the decision to resign from her job to focus on raising her family.

Throughout her life, Eleanor cultivated numerous friendships and lived with enthusiasm. Her interests included tennis, skiing, skating, golf, singing, and shopping, alongside a passion for travel. She had an adventurous spirit that led her and Donald on a memorable road trip to Alaska and back in their VW van, creating lasting memories along the way.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Chris, and daughter-in-law, Catherine, as well as her two grandchildren, Brandy and Harley. She also leaves behind her sister, Julie, and brothers Tom and Jerry, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Final Arrangements and Legacy

Burial services for Eleanor will take place at Green Hills Memorial Park in Palos Verdes, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Donald, who passed away in 2019.

As a breast cancer survivor, Eleanor’s legacy includes a commitment to raising awareness about the disease. In her honor, donations can be made to the Susan G.
