Annual Arts & Crafts Show Moves to New Venue with Holiday Spirit
The Annual Friends of the Conant Public Library Arts & Crafts Show will take place at a new venue this year, promising an expanded experience for holiday shoppers. Scheduled for November 22, 2023, the event will be held at Houghton Elementary School and Chocksett Middle School in Sterling, Massachusetts, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year’s venue provides ample parking and accommodates over 50 vendors, enhancing accessibility for attendees.
Traditionally hosted at the First Church in Sterling, the show has gained popularity over the years. “The new venue allows space for even more artists and craftspeople,” stated Beth Cyr, chairperson of the craft fair. The event will feature a variety of handmade gifts from talented local artisans, ensuring that shoppers have access to unique holiday items.
Returning vendors will present an array of products, including alpaca goods, aromatherapy items, and artisanal jewelry. Other offerings will include beach glass art, candles, crochet pieces, and floral arrangements. This year’s show also introduces several new vendors, showcasing items like maple syrup, pet portraits, and custom wreaths.
In addition to the diverse range of crafts, traditional activities like the bake sale, cheese sale, and raffle will continue in the new location. The lunch café will also be available for attendees looking to enjoy a meal during their shopping experience. Admission to the fair is set at $2, with proceeds directed towards supporting programs at the Conant Public Library.
Each shopper will receive a Passport, which can be stamped at three designated locations for a chance to win a prize. The event is co-sponsored by All One Credit Union. While all vendor spaces have been filled, artisans interested in participating in future shows can contact Beth Cyr at [email protected] to join a waiting list.

This gathering not only supports local artisans but also enriches the community’s holiday spirit, making it a highly anticipated event each year.
