Charlotte M. Seim, Beloved Community Member, Passes Away at 89
BREAKING: Charlotte M. Seim, a cherished member of the Guilderland community, has passed away at the age of 89 on November 11, 2025. Known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to her family, Charlotte’s loss is felt deeply throughout the community.
Born on February 26, 1936, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Clyde and Jennie (Travis) Woodard. She dedicated many years of her career to Travelers Insurance Company, where she met her late husband, William R. Seim. Charlotte was recognized not just for her work ethic but for her love of life, often seen walking the halls of her community, engaging with others, and participating in activities at Baptist Health.
Charlotte’s family was her greatest joy. She is survived by her children: Donna (Ronald) Healt, William (Debra) Eggleston III, Richard (Cheryl) Eggleston, Michael (Rose) Eggleston, and Guy (Susan Jacobson) Eggleston, along with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her legacy also includes several nieces and nephews who will always remember her infectious sense of humor and love for family gatherings.
Charlotte’s passing comes as a profound loss, especially for those who experienced her warmth and kindness. She was actively involved in her community, often participating in crafts and events, making her a beloved figure at Baptist Health. The family has expressed deep gratitude to the staff at Baptist Health and Community Hospice, particularly Brittany and her team, for their exceptional care during Charlotte’s final days.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m., following a return to the funeral home at 10 a.m.. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland, NY.
As the community mourns this loss, Charlotte M. Seim will be remembered not only for her family ties but also for the indelible mark she left on everyone she met.
