Beyond Type 1 Marks 10 Years with Fundraising Gala in NYC
Beyond Type 1, the global nonprofit co-founded by Nick Jonas and Juliet de Baubigny, celebrated its 10th anniversary with a star-studded event called Beyond Limits in New York City on November 17, 2025. The gala, held at the historic Ziegfeld Theater, gathered over 400 guests, including prominent figures and advocates from the diabetes community. Notable attendees included sports reporter Adam Schefter, and the evening featured a special performance by the renowned Jonas Brothers.
The event aimed to raise funds for the organization’s Beyond Barriers initiative, which seeks to enhance diabetes care and support in under-resourced communities. This initiative is set to expand significantly, thanks to the critical funds generated during the celebration.
Funding Future Initiatives
Funds raised during Beyond Limits will enable Beyond Type 1 to launch Innovation Grants, which are expected to reach more than 288,000 people affected by diabetes globally. This expansion underscores the nonprofit’s commitment to addressing disparities in diabetes care and improving the quality of life for individuals in underserved areas.
During the evening, co-founder Nick Jonas spoke passionately about the organization’s mission. He emphasized the importance of community support and collaboration in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by diabetes. “Together, we can break down barriers and ensure everyone has access to the care they need,” he stated.
The Beyond Barriers initiative has made significant strides since its inception, focusing on innovation and accessibility. By providing grants to healthcare providers and community organizations, Beyond Type 1 aims to foster innovative solutions that improve diabetes management and education.
A Celebration of Community and Commitment
Beyond Limits was not only a celebration of the past decade but also a look forward to the future. The event served as a reminder of the collective effort required to combat diabetes and the ongoing need for advocacy and support. The presence of influential voices within the diabetes community highlighted the importance of collaboration in driving change.
As Beyond Type 1 embarks on this new chapter, the organization remains dedicated to its mission of transforming diabetes care and empowering individuals affected by the condition. The funds raised at the gala will play a crucial role in shaping the next decade of growth, innovation, and impact in the field.
With its ambitious goals and unwavering commitment, Beyond Type 1 continues to inspire hope and action in the global diabetes community. The organization looks forward to leveraging the momentum from Beyond Limits to make a lasting difference in the lives of those affected by diabetes.
