Scheduled to premiere in 2024, *Top of the Rock* is set against the backdrop of 1983, amidst rising Cold War tensions. The series follows U.S. military police investigator Captain Goodman and her colleague, MP Sarah Ellis, who are stationed at a NATO base in Keflavik, Iceland. When they discover an American soldier dead under suspicious circumstances, the two women must collaborate closely with the Icelandic police. Their investigation reveals a complex web of espionage, betrayal, and political deceit, forcing them to navigate a dangerous environment filled with secrets to prevent further loss of life.

The series is produced by Iceland’s leading production company, Truenorth, in collaboration with Mystery Productions and Vertu. It has been created by Davíð Óskar Ólafsson and Jón Atli Jónasson, with notable contributions from Ragnar Jónsson. Ólafsson will also direct the series, while Jónasson and Óttar M.
