Bricker Graydon LLP and Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLP, two prominent regional law firms, have announced their intention to merge effective January 1, 2026. This significant move will create a new entity named Bricker Graydon Wyatt LLP, bringing together over 325 attorneys across 14 offices in four states, thereby expanding their regional reach and enhancing their service offerings.

Combining Strengths for Broader Client Services

The merger is designed to enhance both firms’ capabilities in various legal sectors, including real estate, health care, energy, education, and construction. It will also reinforce their existing practices in litigation, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, and complex public sector representations.

“This merger brings together two firms that share not only complementary practices but also a deep commitment to client service, collaboration, and community,” said Chris McCloskey, Managing Partner of Bricker Graydon. He will continue in this role post-merger, leading efforts to maintain the culture and relationships that define the firms.

Franklin Jelsma, Managing Partner of Wyatt, expressed enthusiasm for the merger, stating, “Bricker Graydon and Wyatt share a commitment to excellence in law and client service. We couldn’t be happier with this merger and how it positions us for the future.”

The firms have established themselves as vital community members, actively participating in local business initiatives and providing pro bono legal services. The merger aims to maintain a positive workplace culture based on mutual respect and teamwork.

Expanding Legal Footprint Across Major Markets

The combined firm will retain all current offices, which include major markets such as Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Lexington, Louisville, Nashville, Memphis, as well as regions in Southeast Ohio and Southern Indiana. This strategic alignment will allow the firm to serve a broader array of clients more effectively.

Bricker Graydon, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, is recognized for its dedication to providing exceptional service across various sectors, including banking, education, health care, and public sector law, among others. The firm operates nine offices across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
