Nurture Salon Celebrates 10 Years with New Location in Henderson Center

Nurture Salon and Skin Care Studio has marked its 10th anniversary this month by relocating to a larger facility at 3005 F St, Henderson Center. The move aims to enhance customer experiences as the salon expands its offerings and services.

The salon’s team consists of highly qualified professionals, including owner Rachael Simon, who brings 21 years of experience in aesthetics. Joining her are Lexi Landowski, a certified Eufora colorist and hair care stylist; Stefani Carlson, an expert nail technician and esthetician specializing in skin care and waxing; Leslie Ostrom, who is certified in Eufora hair care and design; Nicole McCauley, a specialist in manicure and pedicure services; and Barb MacTurk, an experienced massage therapist.

Simon expressed enthusiasm about the new space, stating, “I’m so excited to add Leslie, Nicole, and Barb to our team, and having more space allows us to elevate our clients’ experience.” This expansion reflects the salon’s commitment to providing high-quality services in a comfortable environment.

Compass Community Credit Union Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

In a related community initiative, Compass Community Credit Union has taken significant steps to support breast cancer awareness. Throughout October, the credit union encouraged its members to donate $5 by purchasing a pink ribbon at any branch. This initiative allowed donors to honor loved ones by displaying names on the ribbons within the branches, fostering a sense of community involvement.

All proceeds from the donations were directed to the American Cancer Society in Eureka. In a show of solidarity, Compass matched all contributions made by its members and staff. A check for $1,000 was presented to LeeAnne Zeck, senior manager of the American Cancer Society.

“On behalf of the American Cancer Society, we are so grateful to Compass Community Credit Union for their generous $1,000 donation. Their support helps us continue making a positive impact on our community,” said Zeck.
