Families can also enjoy festive storytelling sessions at West Acres Mall, where Santa will read his favorite stories on November 29 and December 19. For those seeking a lively atmosphere, the Holiday Kick-Off event on December 2 at the Hjemkomst Center will feature carols, hot cocoa, and the lighting of Moorhead’s holiday tree.

Various concerts will also fill the holiday calendar, including “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas” at Scheels Arena on December 13, which promises to offer a unique twist on classic Christmas songs.

Family Activities and Community Engagement

The festive season is also a chance for community connection. The Santa Village at Rheault Farm will be open at various times until December 21, where children can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, decorate cookies, and even see live reindeer. Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to bring donations for local charities.

Additionally, the Holiday Lights at the Fairgrounds will illuminate the night from 5 to 10 p.m. through the end of December, showcasing over a mile of holiday light displays, a delightful experience for families and individuals alike.
