Joe Satriani and Steve Vai Launch 2026 U.S. Tour with SATCHVAI Band

Legendary guitarists Joe Satriani and Steve Vai are set to embark on their inaugural tour as the SATCHVAI Band in 2026, making a highly anticipated stop in Dallas, Texas, on April 17, 2026. This tour will showcase their collaborative work, featuring a series of performances across the United States. The “Surfing with the Hydra” tour will span two months, kicking off in Seattle, Washington, on April 1 and including a total of 37 cities.

As part of this extensive tour, audiences will also have the opportunity to see Satriani and Vai perform in Houston on April 16 and Austin on April 18. They will be joined on stage by the progressive metal band Animals As Leaders, who will open for them across all tour dates.

The collaboration between Satriani and Vai, two of the most influential guitarists in rock history, officially began in March 2024. Following their partnership announcement, they released two singles, “The Sea of Emotion, Pt. 1” and “I Wanna Play My Guitar.” Fans can look forward to their upcoming single, “Dancing,” set to be released on March 2, 2026.

Both musicians have established solo careers that date back to the 1980s. Satriani has released 18 albums, with his most recent work, The Elephants of Mars, debuting in 2022. Vai, known for his technical prowess and innovative style, has 11 albums to his name, the latest being Vai/Gash, released in 2023.

Tickets for the tour will be available to the public starting on December 12, 2025, following an artist presale on December 10 at 10:00 local time.
