Community Mourns Loss of Aerospace Pioneer Raquel Rothweiler
Raquel Lorraine Rothweiler, a respected figure in both her family and the aerospace industry, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 84. Her family has expressed profound sorrow over her sudden loss, which comes after years of battling health challenges. Born in New Mexico, Raquel was known for her hard-working, gentle spirit and her unwavering kindness.
Throughout her life, Raquel touched many with her warmth and compassion. She was recognized for her caring nature and dedication to helping others, providing steady support to those in need. Her family was her greatest joy, and she invested her love into every aspect of their lives. Raquel’s legacy is particularly notable for her impressive career in the aerospace sector, where she worked with Northrop. She played a key role in managing classified documentation for the B-2 Stealth Bomber program, a position that not only demonstrated her professional dedication but also inspired those around her.
Honoring a Life of Service and Kindness
Raquel is survived by her devoted son, George A. Rothweiler, daughter-in-law Thayra Rothweiler, and her cherished grandchildren, Alek and Avery. They will carry her memory in their hearts, honoring the strength and comfort she provided throughout her life. Her ability to connect with others was evident in the simple, warm way she concluded conversations, often saying, “good talk.”
In remembrance of Raquel’s life and values, her family encourages donations to three organizations that were particularly meaningful to her: the Southwest Indian Foundation, St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, and Father Flanagan’s Boys Town. These contributions reflect her commitment to helping those in need and her belief in the importance of community support.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on December 5, 2025, from 14:00 to 16:00 at Loma Vista Mortuary, located at 702 East Bastanchury Road, Fullerton, CA. Those wishing to honor Raquel are invited to attend and celebrate her remarkable life and the lasting impact she had on all who knew her.
With her passing, the world has lost a dedicated professional and a compassionate soul whose kindness will resonate through the lives she touched.
