Heidi Klum Unveils Stunning Medusa Costume for 2025 Halloween
In a dazzling display of creativity, Heidi Klum transformed into the mythological figure Medusa for her much-anticipated annual Halloween party on October 27, 2023. The supermodel and television personality donned a striking costume featuring green scales and live snakes, embodying the legendary character known for her hair of serpents.
Klum expressed her enthusiasm for the Medusa myth, stating, “So I wanted to be really, really like a really ugly, ugly Medusa. And I feel like we nailed it — to the teeth,” showcasing her fanged transformation. Accompanying her was her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, who creatively dressed as a man turned to stone, completing the thematic duo.
Hours of Transformation and Celebration
Preparing for the event took a remarkable 10 hours, but Klum emphasized that the effort was well worth it due to her love for Halloween celebrations. This year’s costume follows her viral appearance in 2022, where she arrived at her party suspended on a fishing line, dressed as a giant worm. Klum has a history of elaborate costumes, having previously portrayed an 8-foot-tall “Transformer,” a werewolf from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and the multi-armed Hindu goddess, Kali.
Her passion for Halloween is evident, as she begins planning her costume for the next year immediately after each celebration concludes. The annual event took place at the Hard Rock Hotel New York, where other celebrities also showcased their creativity on the red carpet.
Star-Studded Halloween Festivities
Among the notable attendees was Darren Criss, who painted himself green to embody Shrek, and Maye Musk, who channeled her inner villain as Cruella de Vil. Ariana Madix arrived dressed as Lady Gaga, adding to the festive atmosphere. Klum’s friend and fellow artist Janelle Monáe also hosted her own Halloween gathering on the same evening, dressed as a vampire attacked by a shark.
Monáe has been celebrating the Halloween season with a series of immersive experiences throughout the Los Angeles area, culminating in her party in Studio City. Earlier in the week, she had already delighted fans by dressing as the iconic Cat in the Hat. Monáe remarked, “Halloween gives context to what I already do every day. As an artist, I’m always transforming, world-building and inviting people to play in the worlds I create.”
As Halloween continues to inspire creativity among celebrities, Klum’s extravagant Medusa costume serves as a reminder of the joy and artistry that the holiday brings to many.
