The eighth annual Twinkly Awards has recognized thirty of Central Florida’s most dazzling home holiday light displays, celebrating the creativity and community spirit that define the festive season in the region. Unlike many parts of the world, Florida’s winter months are marked by mild temperatures, allowing residents to transform their homes into vibrant spectacles that attract visitors from near and far.

This year, the awards highlight the dedication of local residents who have embraced the holiday spirit by creating stunning light displays. From synchronized musical shows to whimsical decorations, these homes serve as beacons of joy, bringing together families and friends in celebration.

Farewell to a Beloved Tradition

Among the featured displays, the **Fye’s Crazy Christmas House** at **407 Eagle Circle in Casselberry** stands out as it enters its final season. After 17 years of delighting visitors with its impressive setup of **60,000 lights**, the Fye family has decided to retire their beloved display. The tradition began in **2008** with a simple inflatable pirate ship, evolving into a beloved community fixture where an estimated **3,000 guests** visit each year. As the family shares on their Facebook page, “A story always has a beginning and an end,” expressing their gratitude for the support they’ve received over the years.

Exquisite Displays Across Central Florida

Several homes have captured the essence of holiday cheer through their innovative designs. At **713 Adirondack Ave. in Orlando**, a stunning display features rooftop stars and animated lights that dance to the music of the **Trans-Siberian Orchestra**. This enchanting show lights up the street, drawing awe from onlookers.

In **Orlando**, the **Lights of Newbridge Lane** at **1424 Newbridge Lane** showcases a **20-foot inflatable penguin** and light-up angel wings, all synchronized to festive tunes, including Disney classics. The family behind this display has also incorporated a “snow” machine, enhancing the holiday atmosphere.

Another remarkable exhibit is the **Zurich Griswold display** at **4101 Summerwood Avenue**, boasting an impressive **150,000 lights** that pulse to a carefully curated playlist of holiday favorites. This ambitious setup pays homage to the iconic decorations of Clark Griswold from the film “Christmas Vacation.”

The **Joy to the Block** display at **4241 N. Econlockhatchee Trail** invites visitors to immerse themselves in a festive atmosphere with over **200,000 lights** and dancing displays that create a captivating experience.

At **3640 Oak Vista Lane in Winter Park**, the display features **100,000 lights**, a Nativity scene, and a jingle rock band, designed to evoke nostalgia and wonder. Meanwhile, the **Yuletide Yoda’s Galactic Adventure** at **110 Arla Court** embraces a “Star Wars” theme, showcasing a variety of inflatables and animatronics that transport visitors to a galaxy far, far away.

The **Bivona Christmas Lights Show** at **1601 N. Wind Court in Winter Springs** has transitioned into a modern spectacle, with lights choreographed to electronic dance music remixes of classic holiday songs. This unique twist on traditional displays has become a favorite among younger audiences.

While the displays vary in theme and scale, they all share a common goal: to spread joy and holiday cheer within the community. As families gather to enjoy these vibrant light shows, they participate in a time-honored tradition that fosters connections and creates lasting memories.

The Twinkly Awards not only celebrate individual creativity but also emphasize the collective spirit of Central Florida during the holiday season, making it a truly magical time for all.
