Sophomore Marisa Frost delivered a standout performance, scoring 21 points to guide the North Dakota State Bison to a decisive 71-49 victory over Campbell University at the Osprey Thanksgiving Classic in Jacksonville, Florida. This win marks the Bison’s second consecutive victory, improving their season record to 4-2.

Frost’s impressive scoring included several key moments that energized the team, showcasing her ability to perform under pressure. Her teammate, Abby Krzewinski, contributed significantly with 15 points and seven rebounds. The Bison’s offensive strategy proved effective, particularly from beyond the arc, where they shot 45%, making 9 of 20 attempts from three-point range.

Team Performance and Upcoming Challenges

Both Frost and Krzewinski demonstrated their shooting prowess, each sinking three-pointers that helped establish a commanding lead. Additionally, Avery Koenen contributed to the victory with 12 points and five rebounds, rounding out a balanced scoring effort from the team.

The Bison’s defensive efforts were equally commendable, limiting Campbell’s scoring opportunities and maintaining control of the game throughout. With this momentum, NDSU is set to face Bethune-Cookman at 10 a.m. (CT) on Saturday, November 29, 2023, continuing their participation in the Osprey Thanksgiving Classic.

This win not only boosts the Bison’s confidence but also sets the stage for a challenging matchup ahead as they aim to extend their winning streak. The team’s ability to work together and execute their game plan effectively will be crucial in the upcoming game.
