Pokémon Go Tour 2026 Invites Trainers to Explore Kalos Region
Pokémon Go trainers can look forward to an immersive experience in the Kalos region during the upcoming Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos, set for early next year. This event, announced on Wednesday, will feature two in-person gatherings in late February, followed by a global celebration where all players can participate. Special shiny Pokémon and Mega Pokémon will be among the highlights of this much-anticipated event.
The Kalos region, heavily inspired by France, made its debut in the games Pokémon X and Y. Kalos is also prominently featured in the recently released Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which has reignited interest in this vibrant locale. The Pokémon Go Tour will mark the fifth anniversary of these themed events, which have previously transported players to regions such as Unova and Sinnoh.
Event Details and Locations
The two in-person events are scheduled to take place from February 20 to 22, 2026. The Los Angeles event will be hosted at the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium, while the festivities in Tainan, Taiwan, will begin at Tainan Metropolitan Park before moving into the city. While specific activities at these events have yet to be detailed, participants can expect special on-site gameplay and unique photo opportunities, similar to previous years.
Following the in-person events, the Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos – Global will occur from February 28 to March 1, 2026. This global event will be free of charge, although players may purchase a global event ticket for additional benefits. This ticket is expected to be similar to last year’s Tour Pass, providing access to exclusive Special Research tasks, increased shiny spawn rates, and other bonuses.
Exclusive Features and Bonuses
While some bonuses will require a ticket, the event will also offer benefits accessible to all players. Notable perks include a CP boost for Mega-Evolved Pokémon, a 1/2 hatch distance for eggs placed in incubators during the event, up to six Special Trades per day, and a reduction in Stardust costs for trades.
During the global event, several new shiny Pokémon will make their debut in Pokémon Go, including Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Klefki, Hawlucha, and Honedge. A shiny version of Diancie will be exclusive to ticket holders. Additionally, a special costumed Pikachu, donning Calem’s or Serena’s hat, will be available for all players in both normal and shiny forms.
Trainers are encouraged to prepare by stocking up on Poké Balls in anticipation of this exciting event. Tickets for the Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos are currently available for purchase on the official Pokémon Go Tour website.
