Ravens Gear Up for Dolphins as Lamar Jackson Returns to Practice
The Baltimore Ravens are set to face the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night, with all 53 players on the active roster, including quarterback Lamar Jackson, participating in practice. This marks a significant shift from the lengthy injury reports that have burdened the team throughout the season. Jackson, who has been sidelined since Week 4 due to a hamstring injury sustained during a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on September 28, is expected to make his return in this critical matchup.
Head Coach John Harbaugh expressed optimism regarding Jackson’s availability, stating on Monday that he feels “very confident” and “would expect” Jackson to be active against the Dolphins. The Ravens, currently holding a record of 2-5, view this game as vital for their postseason aspirations.
Despite the positive news regarding Jackson, the Ravens’ injury report remains a concern. During a walk-through practice earlier this week, several players were listed as limited participants. These include left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), rookie linebacker Teddye Buchanan (calf), cornerback Nate Wiggins (groin), and cornerback T.J. Tampa (shoulder). All four players were able to practice on Tuesday.
In response to ongoing injuries within the defensive line, including the season-ending injury to Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) and the placement of Tavius Robinson (foot) on injured reserve, Baltimore has signed veteran pass rusher Carl Lawson. Harbaugh indicated that Lawson could be ready to contribute as soon as Thursday.
As the Ravens prepare for their upcoming game, the return of Jackson could provide a much-needed boost to a struggling team. The quarterback’s leadership and playmaking ability have been sorely missed, and his presence on the field could be instrumental in turning the season around.
The situation remains fluid, and updates will continue to be provided as the game approaches. Fans eagerly await to see if Jackson can lead the Ravens to a much-needed victory against the Dolphins, further igniting their hopes for the remainder of the season.
