Telesis Boys Basketball Claims First Win Against Psalms Learning Center
Telesis Preparatory secured their first victory of the season by defeating Psalms Learning Center 61-55 in a closely contested boys basketball match held in Lake Havasu City on Monday. This win marks a significant turnaround for the Tigers, who had previously lost to the Warriors twice in the last season.
The game showcased a spirited performance from both teams, but it was Telesis that ultimately pulled ahead in the second half. Coach Dan Kuch expressed his gratitude for the win, stating, “Overall, I’m thankful for the win. If we come out and play like we did in the second half, we will win some more ball games this season and be competitive in league play.”
Second Half Surge Leads to Victory
The match began with both teams exchanging leads, but it was Telesis’s resilience in the latter half that proved decisive. After a challenging first half, the Tigers regrouped and focused on their defensive strategy, allowing them to capitalize on turnovers and convert key opportunities into points.
The Tigers’ success was driven by strong teamwork and effective communication on the court. Players rallied around each other, displaying a commitment to improvement that was evident in their gameplay.
Telesis now looks ahead with optimism, aiming to build on this momentum as they prepare for their next match. The team will be looking to leverage their newfound confidence as they continue through the season.
Looking Forward to Upcoming Matches
With this victory, Telesis not only secures their first win of the season but also sets a promising tone for future games. As the Tigers prepare for their next encounter, the focus remains on maintaining the intensity and teamwork that led to their success against Psalms Learning Center.
The boys basketball program at Telesis Preparatory hopes to cultivate this winning spirit as they strive for further achievements in the league. Coach Kuch’s emphasis on improvement and competitiveness may well guide the team towards a successful season ahead.
