Texas High School Football Playoffs: Final 24 Teams Ready for Battle
The UIL state championships in Texas are set to feature the final 24 teams competing for the title of state champion. The tournament will take place from December 17 to December 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, highlighting the culmination of a thrilling football season.

– 1A Six-Man Division 1: Rankin vs. Gordon at 11:00
– 1A Six-Man Division 2: Jayton vs. Richland Springs at 14:00
– 2A Division 1: West Texas vs. Joaquin at 19:00
Thursday, December 18
– 2A Division 2: Muenster vs. Shiner at 11:00
– 3A Division 1: Yoakum vs. Grandview at 15:00
– 3A Division 2: Wall vs. Newton at 19:00
Friday, December 19
– 4A Division 1: Kilgore vs. Stephenville at 11:00
– 4A Division 2: Carthage vs. West Orange-Stark at 15:00
– 5A Division 1: Frisco Lone Star vs. Smithson Valley at 19:00
Saturday, December 20
– 5A Division 2: Canyon Randall vs. TBD at 11:00
– 6A Division 1: TBD vs. TBD at 15:00
– 6A Division 2: TBD vs. TBD at 19:00
The journey to the championships was marked by intense semifinals. Notable results from December 13 include the following:
– In the Class 2A Division II semifinal, Shiner defeated Mount Enterprise with a score of 28-8.
– Grandview edged Peaster with a close 21-18 victory in the Class 3A Division I semifinal.
– Yoakum dominated Llano with a remarkable score of 71-27.
– In Class 4A Division I, Kilgore triumphed over La Vernia 49-0, while Stephenville narrowly defeated Celina 24-21.
– Carthage overwhelmed Brock 49-21 in the Class 4A Division II semifinal.
– Frisco Lone Star achieved a dramatic 56-52 win against Aledo in the Class 5A Division I semifinal.
Earlier matches on December 12 saw Hamilton win against Stinnett West Texas, ending with a score of 29-12, while Muenster secured a tight 21-18 victory over Gruver in the Class 2A Division I semifinal. The Class 1A Division I semifinal featured Gordon defeating Gilmer Union Hill with a score of 69-24, and Rankin edged out Water Valley 54-46.
