While the Wizards have struggled with individual field goal percentages, Jordan Poole notably accomplished a remarkable feat by shooting over 65% in a game during an overtime loss in 2024. Additionally, Daniel Gafford has consistently maintained a shooting average above 65% throughout his career with the team.

The franchise’s historical significance extends beyond individual performances. In 1965, when they were still the Baltimore Bullets, a key trade sent several players to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Bob Ferry, Bailey Howell, and others. This pivotal move led the Bullets to their first playoff appearance, culminating in a trip to the NBA Finals, where they faced the Los Angeles Lakers.
