Xbox Flies Giant Screen Over Miami, Sets World Record for Gaming

In a groundbreaking display of innovation and entertainment, Xbox successfully set a Guinness World Record for the largest video game display flown by helicopter over Miami on October 20, 2023. A massive television screen, measuring 215 square feet and 40 square inches, was lifted into the air as part of an elaborate promotional event for the release of Ninja Gaiden 4.
The event featured Xbox’s community manager, Emmanuel “Master” Rodriquez, alongside recording artist Swae Lee, who both participated in gameplay from a second helicopter. They took turns playing the latest installment of the classic franchise, showcasing the game’s graphics in a unique aerial setting.
To ensure an uninterrupted gaming experience, Xbox utilized advanced broadcasting technology specifically designed for this event. The setup was executed by the aerial media company HELI-D, which played a crucial role in orchestrating the logistics of flying such a large screen while maintaining the quality of the gameplay.
This ambitious initiative not only aimed to entertain but also highlighted the innovative approaches that gaming companies are adopting in promotional strategies. By combining technology with live entertainment, Xbox created a memorable spectacle in the skies over Miami, engaging both in-person spectators and online viewers.
As the gaming community anticipates the release of Ninja Gaiden 4, this record-setting event stands as a testament to the evolving landscape of video game marketing, merging traditional gaming with cutting-edge technology and aerial displays. The success of the event demonstrates Xbox’s commitment to pushing boundaries and creating exciting experiences for gamers around the world.
