BREAKING: Authorities are engaged in a high-stakes pursuit of a stolen van across four Southern California counties as of November 10, 2025. The chase began shortly after 10:30 a.m. when the van, reported stolen from the Thousand Oaks area, was spotted by the Moorpark Police Department.

The pursuit ignited on the 118 Freeway and quickly escalated as the driver, who has been identified as a female, failed to yield to police. By 11:45 a.m., the chase reached the 405 Freeway near the Long Beach Airport. As the clock approached noon, the driver continued southbound on the 405 Freeway, entering Irvine by 12:10 p.m.

Authorities have reported that the driver is maintaining normal highway speeds, remaining primarily in the fast lane without driving aggressively. However, despite the non-threatening driving behavior, police have been in relentless pursuit, employing spike strips in an attempt to halt the vehicle.

By 12:30 p.m., the driver had reached the San Clemente area, still evading police. Authorities are reportedly in contact with her family members to assess the situation. A spike strip was deployed north of Camp Pendleton, which caused some damage to the van, but it did not disable the vehicle.

The pursuit intensified as the driver entered the more congested traffic conditions of Oceanside, where another spike strip was attempted but was unsuccessful. As of 1:15 p.m., the van was still being chased into the San Diego area, with police units actively monitoring the situation.

This is a developing story, and updates will follow as authorities continue their efforts to safely resolve the situation. Stay tuned for further information as it becomes available.
