CU Buffs Women’s Basketball Falls to Texas A&M in Tough Loss
URGENT UPDATE: The Colorado Buffaloes women’s basketball team suffered a disappointing defeat against the Texas A&M Aggies, losing 59-46 in Laie, Hawaii, on November 25, 2025. This loss marks the end of a four-game winning streak for the Buffs, who struggled both offensively and defensively throughout the match.
The Buffs’ offense sputtered, shooting just 34% from the floor and committing a staggering 24 turnovers. Texas A&M’s Ny’Ceara Pryor dominated the court, leading all scorers with 23 points, along with six assists and seven steals. Fatmata Janneh also made a significant impact, grabbing 15 rebounds and scoring eight points.
Colorado started the game poorly, falling behind 10-1 within the first five minutes. Despite early struggles, CU rallied to take a 34-27 lead midway through the third quarter, but their momentum quickly evaporated. The Aggies capitalized on CU’s offensive drought, outscoring the Buffs 32-12 in the final 16 minutes of play.
Zyanna Walker led Colorado with 14 points and six rebounds, providing brief sparks of energy, including an impressive run that helped CU take a brief lead. However, the team’s inability to maintain their scoring and control over the ball proved detrimental as they went cold offensively, managing only two points in the final minutes.
The Buffs now look to bounce back as they return home to face Montana State at the CU Events Center on Sunday at 1 p.m. This upcoming match is crucial for Colorado to regain their footing and rebuild confidence after this challenging defeat.
Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how the Buffs respond to this setback. The team must refocus and tighten their game plan to minimize turnovers and enhance their shooting percentage if they hope to reclaim their winning streak. Stay tuned for updates as Colorado aims to recover and regain momentum in their upcoming matchup.
