Duren’s 31 Points Propel Pistons to 10th Straight Win, Pacers Struggle
UPDATE: In a thrilling return, Jalen Duren scored 31 points as the Detroit Pistons secured their 10th straight victory, defeating the struggling Indiana Pacers 127-112 on November 17, 2025. This win marks the Pistons’ longest winning streak since the 2007-08 season, showcasing their resilience despite missing key players.
The Pistons played without stars Cade Cunningham (hip), Tobias Harris (ankle), and Ausar Thompson (ankle), yet still managed to dominate the game. Duren’s impressive performance was complemented by Daniss Jenkins, who contributed 26 points, helping Detroit solidify their position as a force in the Eastern Conference.
Meanwhile, the Pacers’ woes continue as they sink to 1-13 on the season, marking an eight-game losing streak. This is the team’s longest skid since the 2014-15 season, raising concerns among fans and analysts alike about their performance and potential for recovery.
The game took a decisive turn when Detroit seized control in the first quarter. A pivotal 3-pointer from Duncan Robinson with seven minutes left in the first quarter allowed the Pistons to take the lead for good. At halftime, Detroit led 62-46, following a strong close to the second quarter where five players contributed to a 16-7 run.
Despite a spirited effort from the Pacers in the second half, outscoring Detroit 56-55, they couldn’t overcome the substantial gap. Pascal Siakam led Indiana with 29 points, while Benedict Mathurin added 25 points. Yet, their road struggles continued, as they fell to 0-8 away from home.
Looking ahead, the Pacers will face the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, while the Pistons will host the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. Fans will be watching to see if Detroit can extend their winning streak and how Indiana plans to break out of their current slump.
This exciting game serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of the NBA season and underscores the Pistons’ potential to rise in the standings, even amidst adversity. Stay tuned for more updates as the situation develops.
