In a surprising move, anchor Hanna Battah, who spent more than seven years with the station, announced her departure in October 2023. Just a few months later, she revealed she has taken on a new role as co-anchor for ABC’s World News Now and Good Morning America First Look, a significant leap in her career.
Meanwhile, Cleo Greene, a weekend morning anchor, faced job elimination in January 2023, after joining WFAA in 2018. She has since transitioned to NBC 5, where she now hosts a lifestyle show, showcasing her adaptability in the evolving news landscape.
On the meteorological front, Kyle Roberts departed NBC 5 in January after more than eight years. Additionally, Nicole Baker, an evening anchor, was among those affected by layoffs at Paramount Skydance in October 2023. Baker had been a staple at the station for over three years.

The shakeup continued with Brittany Rainey, who departed from NBC 5 in November 2023 after four years, moving to Nashville’s News Channel 5. Adding to the list, evening anchor Enrique Teutelo announced his exit in June after dedicating 11 years to the station.
