Raiders Fall Short Against NDSCS, 102-88; Roseman Shines
URGENT UPDATE: The Central Lakes College Raiders suffered a tough defeat against the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS), falling 102-88 in an intense matchup on Saturday, November 29. This loss marks a significant setback for the Raiders as they struggle to find their footing this season.
Korde Roseman led the Raiders with 21 points and five rebounds, showcasing his skills despite the team’s overall performance. Notably, the Raiders’ bench contributed heavily, with Max Wilson adding 15 points, followed by Delbert Hardin with 12 points, and Eli Tautges, who scored 11 points. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome NDSCS’s offensive firepower.
NDSCS took control early, finishing the first half with a commanding 58-36 lead. The Raiders attempted a comeback in the second half but could not close the gap. NDSCS’s John Angau led all scorers with 19 points, while Luke Christensen added 24 points for the Wildcats.
Despite the Raiders’ strong bench performance, which accounted for 51 of their 88 points, they struggled defensively against NDSCS’s efficient shooting, hitting 42.3% from the field and 78.6% from the free-throw line.
Anthony Giadyu facilitated the offense with six assists while contributing four points. Other notable performances included Wylee Dauenbaugh and Marshawn Watson, scoring six and seven points, respectively.
With this loss, the Raiders’ record now stands at 2-4. They will look to bounce back as they host Minnesota State Community and Technical College on Tuesday, December 2, at 7:30 p.m.. Fans and supporters will be eager to see if the Raiders can leverage their bench depth and Roseman’s talent to secure a vital home victory.
The Raiders face critical challenges ahead as they attempt to regroup and refocus. Stay tuned for more updates on their season and upcoming games.
