Sally J. Ifkovits, 62, Passes Away Surrounded by Family

URGENT UPDATE: Sally J. Ifkovits, 62, of Northampton, has passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, Michael J. Ifkovits, and family were by her side, marking the end of a cherished life dedicated to family and community.

Sally’s remarkable journey included over 32 years at People First Federal Credit Union, where she rose from member services manager to card and ATM operations manager. Born on January 27, 1963, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Fred H. and Marion J. (Siegfried) Rex. Sally’s legacy extends beyond her career, as she was a devoted mother and grandmother, especially to her beloved grandson, Paxton, who brought her immense joy.

In addition to her husband, Sally is survived by her two sons, Riley (and wife, Kelly) and Alex (and wife, Anna); brothers, Keith and Kevin Rex; sister, Susie Weber; and a large extended family including nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Reichel Funeral Home, located at 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Following the visitation, a prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m.. Sally will be interred at Fairview Cemetery in Northampton, allowing family and friends to pay their final respects.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Sally’s memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, highlighting the family’s commitment to support cancer awareness and research.
