San Jose State Prevails 45-38 Over Hawaii in Thrilling Comeback

The game turned intense as the Rainbow Warriors, down 31-14 at the break, surged back to narrow the gap to just one score with only 1:16 left on the clock. However, an onside kick attempt rolled out of bounds, sealing the fate for Hawaii and securing victory for the Spartans.

Wide receiver Danny Scudero emerged as the star of the night, racking up a career-high 215 receiving yards and scoring two crucial touchdowns. His electrifying plays kept the crowd on their feet and helped maintain San Jose State’s momentum throughout the game.

Quarterback Walker Eget was instrumental in the Spartans’ success, completing 20 of 40 passes for a staggering 458 yards, including two touchdowns to Scudero. Notably, both of Scudero’s touchdowns came at pivotal moments, including a 62-yard bomb that further extended the Spartans’ lead.

San Jose State’s running game proved equally formidable, with Steve Chavez-Soto scoring three rushing touchdowns on just ten carries, while teammate Lamar Radcliffe added 97 yards on the ground. Together, they powered a total of 150 rushing yards for the Spartans.
