UPDATE: Two Dead in Lancaster County Head-On Collision
URGENT UPDATE: Two people tragically lost their lives in a devastating head-on collision on Friday night in West Lampeter Township, Lancaster County. The accident, involving a Honda Civic and a Nissan sedan, occurred around 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Lampeter Road and Paramount Avenue.
Authorities from the West Lampeter Township Police confirmed that the victims were a man, identified as Luke Debruin, aged 25, from Lancaster, and a woman, Terry Thomas, aged 64, from Hamburg. Both were pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
Debruin was behind the wheel of the Honda Civic, while Thomas was a passenger in the Nissan sedan. In addition to the fatalities, two other occupants in the Nissan—a male and female—were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The circumstances leading to the collision remain unclear as investigators continue to piece together the events that transpired. The coroner’s report has yet to provide details on the cause and manner of death for both Debruin and Thomas.
