URGENT UPDATE: Chicago police have just issued a critical alert regarding a spree of 10 business burglaries occurring across multiple neighborhoods this month. The burglaries have targeted areas including Avondale, Edison Park, Norwood Park, Near West Side, South Loop, Near South Side, Loop, West Loop, West Ridge, and Lakeview.

Authorities report that these incidents have happened in quick succession, with some occurring just minutes apart. In each case, two to four suspects have been seen using pry tools or crowbars to break into businesses through front glass doors.

In a particularly alarming incident on Saturday morning, a deli owner in Edison Park confronted the burglars and was threatened with a gun. Both the owner’s wife and police confirmed the terrifying encounter, underscoring the urgent need for community vigilance.

Police have identified that the suspects typically use a stolen gray or silver Infinity four-door sedan to flee the scenes. The suspect description includes two men, aged between 20 and 30 years old, often dressed in dark-colored hooded sweatshirts, sweatpants, and ski masks.

Chicago police are calling for immediate public assistance. Anyone with information about these burglaries is urged to contact Area Three detectives at 312-744-8263 or submit an anonymous tip at CPDTIP.com, referencing # 25-CWP-034.

As this situation continues to develop, residents are advised to remain alert and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement. The safety of the community is at stake, and timely reporting could prevent further incidents.

Stay tuned for updates as authorities work to apprehend the suspects and restore safety to Chicago’s neighborhoods.
