In a thrilling overtime battle, the Lamar State College Port Arthur Seahawks succumbed to the Coastal Bend Cougars with an 85-81 defeat on January 16, 2026. The game, part of the Region XIV men’s basketball conference, showcased individual performances that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Martins Adonry led the Seahawks with a strong showing, scoring 18 points. He was closely followed by Isaiah Brooks, who contributed 17 points to the team’s efforts.
