Upon his return, he made a strong impact with two sacks in just two games before suffering a torn Achilles tendon. Another addition, Larry Ogunjobi, also signed a one-year deal for $6.7 million, with $5.4 million guaranteed. He, too, faced a six-game suspension for a PED violation, but upon return, he struggled, recording only 19 tackles without any sacks across ten games. Given his disappointing performance, it appears unlikely that Ogunjobi will remain with the Bills for the upcoming season.

The Bills brought in Shaq Thompson, who signed a one-year contract worth $1.255 million without guarantees, largely due to his prior connections with head coach Sean McDermott. After two injury-plagued seasons, Thompson made a significant comeback, tallying 56 tackles and one sack during the regular season. In the playoffs, he further impressed with 13 tackles, two tackles for loss, and an interception. However, the firing of McDermott may complicate his return, although re-signing him could still benefit the team.

Wide receiver Elijah Moore was signed for $1.255 million but struggled to find consistency during his time in Buffalo. After totaling just 136 yards from scrimmage in nine games, he was released in November and subsequently signed with the Denver Broncos. His future in the league now appears uncertain as he seeks to revitalize his career.

Veteran safety Jordan Poyer, who returned to Buffalo on a minimum one-year deal, made significant contributions despite the age factor. Playing in 10 games and starting nine, Poyer recorded 70 tackles, three forced fumbles, three pass deflections, and one interception.
