Zotac Unveils Zbox Magnus Mini PC, Competing with Mac Studio
BREAKING: Zotac has just announced the launch of its powerful mini PC, the Zbox Magnus EN275060TC, challenging the Apple Mac Studio with a compact design and robust performance. This innovative system is designed to fit in your jacket pocket, delivering capabilities that rival larger desktop setups.
The Zbox Magnus features an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with 20 cores and a Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card, all packed into a 2.65-liter chassis. This palm-sized powerhouse measures just 210 x 203 x 62.2 mm and weighs approximately 1.4 kilograms. Users can expect impressive performance for 4K gaming, creative workloads, and AI tasks, making it an enticing option for tech enthusiasts and professionals alike.
Zotac claims that the Zbox Magnus can outperform many mid-tower desktops, offering customizable options for memory and storage. The device supports up to 96GB of DDR5 memory and includes dual M.2 slots for SSD installation, ensuring flexibility to meet specific needs. Users will need to install their own components, as the system is sold as a barebones kit.
However, concerns linger over thermal management and sustained performance due to the compact design. The Zbox Magnus includes essential connectivity options, such as two Thunderbolt 4 ports, five USB Type-A ports, and dual Ethernet connections. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, allowing seamless integration with modern peripherals.
Notably, the Zbox Magnus is expected to be priced at around €1,600, approximately $1,555 before taxes in European markets. This price point positions it in direct competition with larger desktops, which may offer superior cooling and higher sustained performance.
While Zotac’s entry into the mini PC market is noteworthy, the overall reception will depend on real-world performance and user experiences. As this story develops, tech enthusiasts and potential buyers should stay tuned for additional updates and reviews.
