Uniontown’s Veterans Day Parade Kicks Off Tuesday at 11 AM

URGENT UPDATE: The annual Veterans Day Parade in Uniontown is set to take place on Tuesday, November 11, at 11 AM in downtown Uniontown, hosted by the American Legion LaFayette Post 51. As the nation honors its veterans, this parade promises to be a significant tribute, commencing with participants gathering at 9 AM for lineup.

Marchers will stage along East Church Street and surrounding areas, including Marshall Park and Jefferson Street. The parade will pause at 11:11 AM at Storey Square for a solemn rendition of taps, marking a moment of reflection for those who have served.

Buses will conveniently drop off marching bands and Junior ROTC members at St. John the Evangelist Church, located at 50 Jefferson St.. Post-parade, pickups for these students will occur at St. Mary (Nativity) Church, found at 61 N. Mount Vernon Ave..

Veterans wishing to participate in the parade are encouraged to gather at Marshall Park. Important guidelines include no all-terrain vehicles or side-by-sides without prior approval from the Uniontown Police Department, and horses are strictly prohibited. Additionally, no political messaging will be allowed during the event.

For those seeking camaraderie after the parade, the American Legion at 508 E. Main St. will be open for socializing and remembrance.
