The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra (GRVCO) is set to present its annual Winter Concert titled “Once Upon a December.” The event will take place at 3:30 p.m. on December 13, 2023, at the Trenton R-IX Performing Arts Center in Trenton, Missouri. Music enthusiasts from twelve different Missouri communities are expected to attend this festive celebration.

Admission to the concert is free, thanks to the generous support of the Donors Club and other anonymous contributors. Communities represented at the event include St. Joseph, Chillicothe, Gallatin, Cameron, and Pattonsburg. Following the concert, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the musicians in the Trenton High School Commons, fostering community connection and engagement.

The concert program will feature a blend of classic Christmas favorites, such as “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” performed by the orchestra, alongside newer holiday selections like “Festival of Christmas” from the choir. The orchestra is directed by Raymond Linville, a graduate of Trenton High School, while the choir is under the leadership of Linda Arnold.

As a non-profit organization, GRVCO relies heavily on donations to support its activities. Information regarding the Donors Club and its initiatives will be available at the venue. Special collections during the concert will benefit the Wright Memorial Hospital Foundation, highlighting the organization’s commitment to community welfare.

For those seeking additional details about the concert or the organization, further information can be found on the official website at grvco.com or on the Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra’s Facebook page. This event promises to be a delightful celebration of music and community spirit, inviting all to join in the festive cheer.
