Families Celebrate the Season at Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees

Families gathered at Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees on December 6, 2025, to select their perfect holiday tree while enjoying hot cocoa by the fire. The event marked another festive season at the farm, which has been serving the community for a decade, providing a selection of trees including Blue Spruce, White Pine, and Scotch Pine.

Owner Dave Blissenbach, who has been planting trees for over twenty years, revealed that the inspiration for the family-run business came from his uncle, who has been growing Christmas trees near St. Cloud for more than fifty years. Blissenbach noted the patience required for tree cultivation, as it typically takes around eight to ten years for a tree to mature.

The farm has developed a loyal customer base, with many families returning year after year. “We have a few people who have been with us that whole time,” Blissenbach explained. “We see the young families as they grow and their kids get a little bigger each year.”

The atmosphere at Zumbro Valley is consistently festive. “Everybody’s always in a good mood when they’re getting a Christmas tree,” he said. “It’s just a lot of fun to be able to be a part of that and help them make a memory for their families.”

Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees will continue to welcome visitors on Saturdays and Sundays through December 14, 2025. This ongoing commitment to providing a joyful holiday experience has solidified the farm’s reputation as a cherished local tradition.
