Bears and Eagles Clash in Key NFL Black Friday Showdown
The Chicago Bears will face the Philadelphia Eagles in a pivotal NFL matchup on November 28, 2025, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Both teams enter the game with an impressive record of 8-3, making this Black Friday game crucial for playoff positioning.
The Bears, led by rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, boast one of the league’s strongest offenses, ranking second in rushing and sixth overall. Williams has already thrown for 2,568 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, showcasing his potential as a cornerstone for the franchise. Noteworthy support comes from wide receivers Rome Odunze and D.J. Moore, who have combined for 1,138 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
In contrast, the Eagles, under the leadership of quarterback Jalen Hurts, have established themselves with a formidable defense, ranked eighth in scoring. Hurts has a stellar touchdown-to-interception ratio of 25-to-3, which has played a significant role in the Eagles’ success. They have won six consecutive games against the Bears, although their home record against Chicago is a modest 9-13-1, including playoff encounters.
The Bears are riding a four-game winning streak, leading the NFC North and currently sitting as the No. 3 seed in the NFC playoff picture. This matchup marks their first regular-season Friday game since 1966. Williams recently delivered a strong performance, throwing for 239 yards and three touchdowns in a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. His ability to connect with a variety of receivers will be key against the Eagles’ defense.
As both teams prepare, injuries could influence the outcome. The Bears have seen defensive players Ruben Hyppolite II, Tyrique Stevenson, and Dominique Robinson exit last week’s game due to injuries. For the Eagles, right tackle Lane Johnson and safety Andrew Mukuba are confirmed out, while safety Reed Blankenship is expected to play despite leaving the last game early.
The Eagles are coming off a narrow loss to the Dallas Cowboys, where they led 21-0 before falling 24-21. They committed 14 penalties for 96 yards, a statistic they will need to improve upon to secure a victory against the Bears. Saquon Barkley, the Eagles’ running back, is looking to bounce back after a modest performance against Dallas, where he rushed for just 22 yards.
Both teams present unique challenges. The Bears have the league’s best takeaway differential at +16, largely due to their defensive backs Kevin Byard and Nahshon Wright, each with five interceptions. This aggressive defensive strategy has allowed Chicago to score 73 points off turnovers. In contrast, the Eagles lead the league with a 77.8% touchdown conversion rate in the red zone, highlighting their efficiency in critical moments.
With both teams eyeing playoff contention, this matchup promises to be intense. Fans can expect a thrilling contest as the Bears look to extend their winning streak and challenge the reigning Super Bowl champions. The game is set to kick off at 14:00 (local time) and will be available for viewing across various platforms.
