National Bank of Commerce Sponsors New Baseball and Softball Venue
The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has officially partnered with the University of Wisconsin–Superior to sponsor the university’s new baseball and softball facility, which will be named National Bank of Commerce Park. This collaboration marks NBC as the official partner of Yellowjacket athletics and signifies a strong commitment to community engagement and support for local sports.
The new facility will feature both a baseball and softball field, along with shared spectator seating and a community-focused fan experience, including concessions and gathering areas. The project is currently in the planning stages, with the university collaborating closely with the State and Universities of Wisconsin to finalize a timeline. The completion of National Bank of Commerce Park is targeted for the 2027-28 academic year.
Brad Roden, CEO of the National Bank of Commerce, expressed the bank’s commitment to community investment, stating, “At NBC, giving back to the community where we live and work is at the heart of what we do. Partnering with UW–Superior is a natural fit because we want to see the university thrive and continue to bring young people to our region, which in turn helps Superior grow.”
The partnership aims to create a space where students, families, and the broader community can come together. Roden highlighted that the park will serve as a venue for shared experiences, fostering community spirit and engagement.
Renée Wachter, Chancellor of UW–Superior, echoed this sentiment, saying, “This partnership with National Bank of Commerce reflects our shared commitment to creating opportunities and building community. National Bank of Commerce Park will provide our student-athletes with first-class facilities while strengthening the connections between campus and community. Together, we’re investing in experiences that inspire pride today and possibilities for tomorrow.”
This collaboration builds upon NBC’s extensive history of supporting local education, athletics, and community growth initiatives. By aligning with UW–Superior, NBC reinforces its role as a vital contributor to the region’s development and well-being.
Headquartered in Superior, Wisconsin, the National Bank of Commerce serves a diverse clientele across Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin. For more information about their services and community initiatives, visit nbcbanking.com.
