Dick Van Dyke Celebrates Milestone 100th Birthday with Joyous Event
Legendary actor and comedian Dick Van Dyke recently celebrated his 100th birthday in a joyous event that exceeded expectations. The milestone birthday took place on December 13, 2025, and was marked by a celebration that his wife, Arlene Silver, described as “perfect.”
In an interview with PEOPLE, Silver shared the details of the special day, which included a dance flash mob performing a medley of Van Dyke’s iconic songs at their home in Malibu, California. The event was organized by Chris Isaacson Presents and featured family and friends who joined in the festivities. “It went so perfect — just everything,” Silver expressed, highlighting Van Dyke’s happiness during the celebration. “This felt so perfect,” she added, noting her relief and gratitude for how the day unfolded.
Days before the celebration, Van Dyke himself reflected on reaching this significant age, stating in the same interview that the greatest surprise of turning 100 was simply that he “made it.” He expressed a positive outlook, saying, “I feel really good for 100. Sometimes I have more energy than others — but I never wake up in a bad mood.”
Initially, the couple intended to keep the festivities low-key, with Van Dyke suggesting they spend the day watching reruns of “Jeopardy!” Yet, the celebration turned out to be much more eventful. In addition to the birthday party, Van Dyke also released a book titled 100 Rules for Living to 100 in honor of his birthday. A documentary titled Dick Van Dyke: A 100th Celebration is being screened as part of the celebrations, further showcasing his influential career and enduring legacy.
As Van Dyke enters this new chapter, his infectious spirit and zest for life continue to inspire fans around the world. The outpouring of love and support from friends and family during this significant occasion is a testament to the lasting impact he has made in the entertainment industry and beyond.
