Twin Capital Management Reduces Stake in Public Storage by Over 54%
Twin Capital Management Inc. has significantly reduced its holdings in Public Storage (NYSE: PSA) by 54.1% during the third quarter of this year. According to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the fund now owns 2,357 shares of the real estate investment trust (REIT), down from 5,136 shares after selling 2,779 shares during the reporting period. This adjustment places the value of Twin Capital Management’s stake at approximately $681,000 as of the latest reporting.
A number of other institutional investors have also been active in modifying their positions in Public Storage recently. Notably, Norges Bank acquired a new stake worth around $1.15 billion in the second quarter. Additionally, AQR Capital Management LLC increased its stake in Public Storage by an impressive 498.7%, bringing its total ownership to 578,491 shares, valued at $166.97 million, after purchasing an additional 481,872 shares.
Other notable investments include Virginia Retirement Systems, which acquired a new stake valued at $94.3 million, and 1832 Asset Management L.P., which boosted its holdings by 375.7% to 389,169 shares, worth $114.19 million. Furthermore, Arrowstreet Capital Limited Partnership enhanced its position by 1,158.5%, now owning 153,878 shares valued at $45.15 million. Overall, institutional investors collectively hold 78.79% of Public Storage’s stock.
Analysts Adjust Ratings and Price Targets
Research firms have also been revising their outlook on Public Storage. Recently, Wolfe Research downgraded the stock from an “outperform” rating to “peer perform.” Meanwhile, Truist Financial raised its price target from $315.00 to $317.00, maintaining a “buy” rating. In contrast, Royal Bank of Canada reduced its target from $309.00 to $307.00 while retaining a “sector perform” rating.
The Goldman Sachs Group also adjusted its price target, decreasing it from $332.00 to $321.00 and maintaining a “buy” rating. In a similar move, BMO Capital Markets set a lower price target of $305.00 and rated the stock as a “market perform.” Currently, there are two analysts who rate the stock as a Strong Buy, four who recommend a Buy, and twelve who suggest holding. According to data from MarketBeat.com, the consensus rating is “Hold” with a price target averaging $306.63.
