Tre Twitty and Tayla Lynn Honor Legends at Greeneville Concert
A special concert event titled Twitty & Lynn: A Salute to Conway & Loretta will take place at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center (NPAC) in Greeneville on January 17, 2024, at 19:30. This performance celebrates the legacy of two of country music’s most iconic duos, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, through the talents of their grandchildren, Tre Twitty and Tayla Lynn.
Honoring the Legacy of Country Music Icons
The show is poised to deliver an unforgettable experience, showcasing the connection between Tre and Tayla and their grandparents. Rather than impersonating the legends, they serve as “ambassadors” and “caretakers of the past,” sharing personal stories and insights into the lives of Conway and Loretta. Audiences can expect to hear classic duets including “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man,” “After the Fire Is Gone,” and “You’re the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly,” alongside individual hits like “Hello, Darlin’” and “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”
Beyond the music, Tre and Tayla are committed to preserving their grandparents’ full legacy. Tre is actively advocating for Conway Twitty’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, adding to his existing status as a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. Meanwhile, Tayla honors Loretta’s fashion legacy by donning one of her grandmother’s outfits during performances, including a memorable appearance at the Grand Ole Opry.
Creating New Memories While Preserving the Past
The duo made their debut at the Grand Ole Opry in 2022, performing on the same historic wooden circle where their grandparents once stood. Tre emphasizes that their show is a “special gift to keep that flame burning,” ensuring that the passion and authenticity of Conway and Loretta’s performances continue to inspire both older and newer generations of fans.
In addition to honoring their grandparents’ contributions to country music, Tre and Tayla are also working on establishing their own artistic identities. They plan to release an album featuring original songs and covers, embracing the classic country and Americana styles that defined their grandparents’ careers.
Tickets for this highly anticipated concert start at $35 and are available for purchase online at NPACgreeneville.com, as well as at the NPAC Box Office by calling 423-638-1679 during weekdays from 10:00 to 17:00. Doors will open one hour before the show begins, offering fans an opportunity to experience a moment of living country music history.
