New York Flu Cases Surge 80% Post-Thanksgiving, Hotspots Identified
Flu cases in New York State have surged by an alarming 80 percent following the Thanksgiving holiday, as new data reveals a significant increase in infections across the region. The New York State Department of Health has reported that the flu remains “prevalent in New York State,” with the Hudson Valley region particularly affected.

Preventive Measures and Recommendations
Health experts emphasize that the best defense against the flu is maintaining good hygiene practices and getting vaccinated. Individuals are encouraged to avoid crowded places and to sanitize frequently to minimize the risk of infection.
As the flu season progresses, the New York State Department of Health continues to monitor the situation closely. Residents are reminded to stay informed about local health advisories and to take proactive measures to protect themselves and their communities. By adhering to health guidelines and getting vaccinated, individuals can help curtail the spread of the virus during this critical period.
